life without Facebook
I think I would be able to do it. There are many questions that come with getting rid of Facebook. Would I be completely out of the lop with my friends? Would I be able to spend the time that I am on Facebook doing more productive things or would I find something else to waste my time on? Would I be able to resist the urge of not wanting to know what all of my friends are doing? I guess the only way to find out would be to deactivate my Facebook. Personally I think i would be able to do it, but I do not consider myself a Facebook junkie. The main reason why I check my Facebook is because it is an app on my phone. I think if i deleted the app I would rarely check it.
Are social networks eroding our social lives?
According to a recent study by the social discovery site Badoo 40% of Americans socialize more on the internet then in real life. This is a startling figure and it shows that people are becoming more and more dependent on socializing on the computer. I think it is quite pathetic how often you see people constantly looking down on their phones or see people sitting on there computers. Being able to evaluate a person by there expressions is something that is learned by face to face talking and that skill will not be developed if the way you prefer to communicate is just on the computer.

social media in small businesses
social media in small businesses
Establishing a Facebook page for a small business can be a positive asset for the business, it can help create a bigger client base or create more customers. It can also just be a big waste of time. Big brand names have an advantage because they already have the attention of the public. For small businesses to gain from social media need to make their Facebook page more personal. Things that would help would include what an actual customer has to say or a picture of a family eating at the small family restaurant. Personal attention is the advantage that small businesses have over big brand name companies.
