social media

I have an account with facebook, and with twitter. I routinely check both of them, but I think I do it to stay in the loop with what my friends do. I don't constantly check it to make sure that I know every little detail or see every picture posted. I think that way to many people are obsessed and basically use it way too much. When people are constantly updating what they are doing, I'm sorry but no one cares.

junior hockey

I took two years off after high school to play junior hockey, to achieve my goal of playing college hockey. I think taking the time off was the best thing for me because I was able to mature and value my education more. While I played juniors, I also worked full time and took online classes. So, I learned how to balance my time as well as learning how to handle the responsibility of a full time job. All of this has made me appreciate college and make me work harder to get a good job because working for almost minimum wage is not what I envision for the rest of my life.

Staying in touch with the guys on my team would be close to impossible if there was no social media. All of the guys I played with and had good relationships with, all go to different schools. Keeping those friendships is possible because I can just write on their Facebook wall or send them a quick tweet. This is important because I can maintain so many good friendships through social media.
